Summer Reading Challenge

The Summer Reading Challenge takes place during the school holidays every summer at a library near you.

The challenge, aimed at 4 to 11 year-olds, is to read six or more books over the summer.

Children who take part:

  • are more enthusiastic about reading
  • maintain their reading level over the holidays
  • return to schools keen and ready to learn
  • boost their confidence and self-esteem.
