Nottinghamshire County Council’s registration service is hiring celebrants to conduct and register marriages, civil partnerships, citizenship and naming days, celebration and renewal of vows, funerals and memorials.

If you enjoy working with the public, are a confident public speaker, have excellent attention to detail, good numeracy skills, are sensitive, presentable and professional, personable and have neat handwriting – this could be the role for you. Our north, central and south Nottinghamshire teams are all recruiting ceremony officers now.

Multiple posts are available. These are varied and rewarding positions that require stamina and organisation skills. We need colleagues with enthusiasm, confidence and sensitivity to work as ceremony officers at Registration offices and venues in Nottinghamshire.

Full training is provided – successful applicants must demonstrate exceptional public speaking skills, be able to write accurately, legibly and fast using a fountain pen and have a good standard of basic arithmetic.

Availability is key – ceremony officers are part of a flexible pool of people who are put on the areas ceremonies rotas and to cover at short notices/illnesses. The work will mostly be at weekends and some midweek work is available.
