Nottinghamshire County Council - Proud of our past, ambitious for our future

Health and Wellbeing Board

About the Board

The aim of the Board is to find out what Nottinghamshire needs to improve health and wellbeing and develop a strategy and delivery plan to achieve this

The Board carries out an assessment - called the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) - across the county to find out if there are particular patterns or issues in a certain area, such as an obesity problem or poor dental health. The JSNA is used to plan how money is spent to improve the situation in each area in the future.

The Board also promotes close co-operation between the health service, local government and providers of services.
