Insulate your Home
Insulating you home is one of the best ways of helping to stay warm. As well as large jobs such as cavity wall insulation there is a wide range of small improvements that are cheap, effective and can help to keep you warm as well as save you money.
Local Insulation Schemes
The Everybody's talking about climate change website is a partnership of local authorities in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. Various insulation schemes, products and offers are available from the different organisations and suppliers listed on the site.
In some areas prices are currently FREE to many householders; elsewhere they are generally free if you are aged over 70 (or 65 for some schemes) or in receipt of certain benefits.
Broxtowe Warm Zone
The Broxtowe Warm Zone loft and cavity wall insulation deal for homeowners, private landlords and private tenants has been extended
FREE* full loft and cavity wall insulation if you are 70 years of age or above OR in receipt of certain benefits.
For everyone else each energy improvement will cost £99.
Apply online for your FREE home energy survey or call 0300 688 77 66
*Please note, your loft must contain 60 mm or less of insulation to qualify. If your loft has been insulated more than 10 to 15 years ago, you will most likely qualify for more insulation.
