This course is for those working with Foundation Stage children with individual needs, in Private, Voluntary and Independent settings.

About this course

This half day course replaces the one day course 'Including children with additional needs'. It is an opportunity to share and discuss strategies to support and include all children in your setting.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore:

  • Ways of differentiating the curriculum to support and challenge all children
  • How to use staff effectively to support and challenge all children
Learning outcomes:

Participants will:

  • Feel more confidence in meeting the needs of all children through the offered curriculum including those with SEN
  • Have practical strategies for differentiating the curriculum
  • Have a range of practical ideas to take back and use in their setting
KEEP outcomes:

Practice in meeting all children’s needs, learning styles and interests (K4)

Understanding the individual and diverse ways that children develop and learn (K2)

Work with other professionals within and beyond the setting (K6)

How to book:
Book on line here using Eventbrite.

You must use the Eventbrite link to book a course. You cannot contact the course admin to book.

If the course is already full for a particular date it will not be listed in the “Please select a date to attend” drop down box in Eventbrite.

Make sure you have your managers approval before booking on a course.

If you have booked a place but find you cannot make it remember to cancel your place so others can attend.

Please remember to bring your Eventbrite ticket on the day.

If you fail to attend a course you have booked on without cancelling your place via Eventbrite you will be charged a £15 non-attendance fee.

To view or change your booking

To view or change your booking in any way (such as cancelling your place) you must setup an Eventbrite account

The email address you use to set up your account must be the same you used when originally booking the course. 

Make sure your email address is correct or you will not receive any of the course information or notifications.

Changing who’s going on a course

If you cannot go on a course and want a colleague to go in your place:

  • if there are still places left then your colleague must book their own place and you must cancel yours
  • if a course is full then telephone 0115 9773065 to change the booking.
