Important changes to Jobseeker's Allowance Sanctions

From 22nd October 2012 if you do not meet the conditions that are attached to Jobseeker's Allowance, without good reason, your benefit could be affected.

You could lose your benefit for 13 weeks, 26 weeks or 156 weeks. The length of time you could lose your benefit is dependant on how many times you have failed to meet these jobseeking responsibilities in the last 52 weeks of the previous time.
