Support to live at home

There is a wide range of support to help you live at home and stay independent in the community. You might need support because you are elderly, have a disability or a health condition.

Non-Council support

Much of this help is provided by organisations other than Nottinghamshire County Council. See our non-Council support page for details of where you can get help.

Support from us

•  Equipment and adaptations - including safety monitors and alarms, small pieces of equipment and changes to your home that can reassure and make everyday living easier

•  Meals at home - for when cooking your own meals becomes difficult (or you simply don't want to!)

•  Occupational therapy - finding solutions to practical difficulties at home

•  Day services - support to help you do things during the day

•  Care and support centres - short-term support and practical services

•  Night Response Service - getting help at home during the night

•  Short-term personal support - helping you with the skills and confidence to live at home

•  Long-term personal support - for when you need on-going support to stay living at home
