Each Supporting People service has to provide information to allow us to monitor its use and performance.
Common Data Framework
Provides a list of all data collected for these services. This can be used
by commissioners to monitor the services and evidence what they can achieve. It
can also be used by support providers to see how their services compare to
others.
Information about service users
- Client Record Form - for each new service user who enters a short-term service
- Outcome form (short-term) - for all service users leaving the service
- Outcome form (long-term) - for 50% of service users in long-term services for more than 2 years.
For examples of these forms and guidance on completing them see the
Supporting People St Andrews website.
This information is sent to the Centre for Housing Research who collate it and make it available to service providers and commissioners.
Performance information
Service providers have to submit information to the Supporting People team every quarter that gives details of service use, successful outcomes and destinations and throughput. The deadlines for submission are shown in the table below.

The information submitted is checked every quarter for performance against set targets which are set for each client group and service type. We may contact providers if they are under-performing and take further action if necessary.
The quarterly information is collated every year and sent to SITRA to compile a National Data Framework.
Contract management meetings
From 2012 an annual contract management meeting will be held
with each service provider to look at quality, performance and the general
operation of the service.
