Health benefits

You will be eligible for free Sight Tests, Dental Treatment, Hospital fares and Prescriptions for yourself and your family, if you are in receipt of particular benefits. 

Who can apply

This benefit is aimed at the long-term ill, disabled and those over the state pension age. 

You are entitled to these benefits if you are in receipt of Income Support, Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit), Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income-based Employment and Support Allowance and Tax Credits with an income below £16,190. You will also be eligible for free health benefits if you are an Asylum Seeker, a family member of an Asylum Seeker, 16 or 17 and looked after by the local authority or you have certain health conditions. You may also qualify for help under the Low-income scheme.
