The County Council manages a contract governing the management and business support operations offered by 3 innovation centres across the county. The 3 centres are the Mansfield i-Centre, the Newark Beacon and the Worksop Turbine
The centres are managed on behalf of partners by Oxford Innovation – a renowned specialist in innovation support. Oxford Innovation operates a national network of over 20 Business and Innovation Centres and can boast an impressive track record of supporting growth in tenant businesses. The current average across the network is 24% of tenant businesses grew by up to 20%, 18% by greater than 20% and 9% by 100%.
The three Nottinghamshire Centres are designed to give start-up and small and medium-sized businesses the flexibility, space and support to grow. They support new and existing businesses by providing fully serviced offices and workshops, virtual business services, shared offices, hot desks and meeting and conference rooms. The advantages of the tenancies include easy in / out monthly licences, known costs – no hidden surprises – and the flexibility to respond to space requirements as the business develops.
The emphasis is on high customer care for all tenants in a supportive environment with tailored business support services designed to help businesses reach their optimum commercial potential. One size does not fit all with the needs of the tenant to the fore.
Businesses can also maximise the opportunities of being located in a like-minded entrepreneurial environment – with formal and informal networking opportunities and events being a regular feature of centre life. Businesses can easily opt in and out of the centres to fit their needs.
