Weeds

We treat weeds on the county’s roads and pavements with weedkiller twice a year.

Due to health and safety legislation and the need to protect local wildlife and the environment, we use environmentally friendly weedkillers which can sometimes struggle to tackle very vigorous weeds.

The changing weather patterns with more rain and sun through the year have also encouraged more weeds to grow.
