Waste disposal regulations

There are strict rules and regulations about how you can dispose of certain types of waste.

Some examples:

Engine oil should always be recycled. It should never be poured down the drain as it is hazardous to wildlife.
Car batteries contain sulphuric acid which is very dangerous. Car batteries can be recycled at the County Council’s household waste and recycling centres
Asbestos is a hazardous waste. It can be found in many forms and the main types tend to be either soft or hard asbestos.
