Doorstep household rubbish and recycling collections are the responsibility of your local district council. They collect your wheeled bins for recycling, green waste and general household rubbish.
Nottinghamshire County Council provides 14 household waste and recycling centres across the county where you can bring glass and paper for recycling as well as bulky household items like sofas, washing machines and fridges.
The County Council is also responsible for preparing the Waste Local Plan which sets out the blueprint for how we dispose of our household waste in landfill sites or incinerators.
