The county's 200 traffic lights help to keep the traffic moving at busy junctions.
If you think the lights on your route to work or the shops aren’t working properly, please tell us. If the lights are faulty we will repair them as quickly as possible.
If the light phasing needs to be adjusted – for example if the traffic queue on one side of the junction is much longer than another – we will review the lights as soon as we can.
You can also let us know if you think a junction would benefit from traffic lights. We will investigate your idea and take into account a number of issues including:
- how long vehicles have to wait to use the junction
- the junction’s reported accident record
- the speed and amount of traffic on the main road
- the number of pedestrians and cyclists crossing the main road.
