Trade descriptions

The law requires people in business, if they describe goods, to provide an accurate description. The majority of the Trade Descriptions Act 1968 was repealed in May 2008 and has now been replaced by a European piece of legislation called the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
