Decisions on behalf of people living in Nottinghamshire are made every day by a range of public organisations like the County Council, the East Midlands Development Agency, the police and health trusts.
Scrutiny is the mechanism for local accountability of public services. It gives County Councillors the opportunity to take a closer look at the decisions and policies made by the County Council and our partners.
Scrutiny committees can also look at specific issues that reflect the views and concerns of local people.
