You must contact your local register office to:
- register a birth, still-birth or death
- give notice of your intention to marry or form a civil partnership
- obtain replacement certificates.
You will also need to contact your local register office to arrange:
- a naming ceremony
- a reaffirmation of vows ceremony
- a civil funeral.
Ceremonies can be held in either a register office or at venues approved by the County Council.
All our register offices operate an appointment system for most services, except copy certificates, and may have different opening hours.
