Refuse collection

Your local district council collects your household wheelie bin on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Many district councils have a fortnightly rota for the collection of household waste bins and recycling bins for plastic, paper and garden waste. Please make sure you put the correct type of rubbish in the bins provided. If you don’t, it can contaminate a bin lorry’s load of recyclable products, undermining everyone’s efforts to recycle. It may also result in your bin not being collected in the future.

Household rubbish that cannot be recycled is taken to landfill sites or the Eastcroft incinerator for disposal.
