We reopened the Nottingham to Worksop ‘Robin Hood Line’ in 1993 to help bring back jobs and prosperity to the former Nottinghamshire coalfield.
Since then we have worked with local MPs, the rail industry and the Government to encourage more investment in the East Coast and Midland Mainline rail routes.
We have also worked with a range of local organisations to improve the railway stations at Newark, Mansfield and Worksop by revamping the station buildings and providing secure car parking.
