Public transport

The County Council supports and promotes public transport – buses, trains and trams – as a great way to reduce congestion and pollution on the County’s busy roads.

You can organise your own journey by bus, train and tram over the phone using the Traveline service. Just tel: 0871 200 22 33 with details of where you want to go and by when and the Traveline team will do the rest.

Our track record of success in public transport has been recognised nationally with a Beacon award from the Government, the top award any local authority can receive.
