To be able to vote, you must be on the current electoral register. You need to contact your local district council to make sure you are registered to vote.
If you will be on holiday on the election day or expect to be in hospital or find it difficult to get out and about due to a mobility impairment, you can ask someone to vote on your behalf. This is called a proxy vote. You must arrange your proxy vote with your local district council.
