In May 2008 Nottinghamshire County Council, in partnership with the district and borough councils, took over responsibility for parking enforcement on the county roads. This partnership is known as the Notts Parking Partnership and was formed to ensure that parking enforcement is provided fairly and consistently across the county.
When you park your car please remember:
- road markings are there for safety reasons to make sure people know where there are junctions and bends
- yellow lines enforce car parking to make sure traffic can keep flowing in busy town centres
- if you ignore road markings you can be fined with a fixed penalty notice.
District councils also administer many town centre car parks.
