Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee manages all of the County Council's scrutiny work. This involves examining, or taking a closer look at, the decisions, policies, and services of the County Council - and sometimes those of other organisations and partners.

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee appoint Select Committees to investigate issues that matter to local people. They must also be consulted when the NHS want to make sustantial changes to health services.
