The Nottinghamshire Safeguarding Children Board (NSCB) is the key statutory, strategic mechanism for agreeing how organisations in each local area cooperate to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Nottinghamshire and for ensuring the effectiveness of what they do. The Board is comprised of senior executive level personnel from a variety of agencies and meets 4 times a year. It’s ongoing work is carried forward through various subgroups.
With the Nottingham City Safeguarding Children Board, the NSCB also produces joint Interagency Guidance on the Assessment of Children in Need and Child Protection Procedures and provide various training sessions for workers in the statutory and voluntary sectors.
