The County Council’s nature conservation unit help to make sure that the countryside we love and enjoy today will still be around in years to come. Our Nature Conservation Officers provide advice and guidance about a wide range of wildlife and nature conservation issues in Nottinghamshire.
They do this by working with a range of organisations, including other councils, Natural England, Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, the Forestry Commission, consultants and academic researchers, as well as members of the public, to help protect and enhance biodiversity and the local environment.
