The Local Area Agreement was a three year agreement that sets out what the priorities should be for the local area and how these might be addressed reflecting both national and local priorities.
The local area decides how to achieve the outcomes, for example by more flexible use of existing funds, pooling resources and working more effectively in partnership with other agencies across the county.
Nottinghamshire’s Local Area Agreement was a countywide agreement, which was owned and overseen by the Nottinghamshire Partnership.
The negotiations with the Government Office for the East Midlands (GOEM) were led by the County Council. All key partners had the opportunity to engage in the development of the LAA and many had a defined role in delivering the outcomes.
