Listed buildings

Nottinghamshire has over 5,000 listed buildings ranging from the well known like Wollaton Hall and Newstead Abbey to cottages and town houses.

If you own an historic building we can give you advice on:

  • repairs and maintenance
  • grants available for repairs
  • how to date your building
  • what the law says about listed buildings
  • whether your building is listed.

If you’d like to know more about Nottinghamshire’s history we can help you use the Historic Environment Record which lists information on sites and finds of archaeological interest of all periods, from Palaeolithic to World War II.
