Lawrence, D H

Nottinghamshire's famous son was born inEastwood and used the people and landscapes he knew as the inspiration for much of his works.

His childhood home in Eastwood is now the D.H. Lawrence Birthplace Museum, with displays and information about his life.

You can visit the museum and also see what life in the community was like for the young Lawrence, sharing some of his early influences at the nearby Durban House Heritage Centre by visiting the DH Lawrence Heritage experience.
