Nottinghamshire County Council - Proud of our past, ambitious for our future

Land charges

When you buy a house, your solicitor or licensed conveyancer will carry out a land charges search on your behalf.

The search is a series of standard questions designed to give any potential buyer as much information as possible about the property.

District councils hold information on issues such as planning, building control, highways, and environmental health as well as policy information contained in the Local Plan - the blueprint for future development and local planning decisions.
