Footbridges

The County Council is responsible for the repair and maintenance of pedestrian footbridges. Let us know if you think a footbridge near you needs repairs.

The Highways team looks after pedestrian footbridges over the highway. All urgent repairs will be completed within five working days.

Bridges that carry a right of way are subject to slightly different rules.
If the bridge that needs repairs carries a right of way (footpath, bridleway, byway) please contact the Countryside Access team.
