If you arrange for a firm to collect and dispose of your rubbish check that they are a reputable and properly licensed waste disposal company. If any rubbish is illegally dumped on your behalf and it can be traced back to you, you will be prosecuted. You will also pay for the cost of clearing it up.

You can dispose of your household rubbish at any of the County Council’s 18 recycling centres. The centres accept a wide range of typical household items such as:

  • glass, paper,
  • green waste - tree branches, hedge trimmings, grass cuttings
  • metal,
  • furniture
