Schools can broaden the environmental side of their curriculum with a range of services from the County Council including two residential centres, four day centres and helpful guidance and advice.
The Hagg Farm and St Michael's centres in the Peak District provide residential environmental education courses for schools and other County Council services working with young people. The day centres provide shorter environmental courses at more local venues across Nottinghamshire.
Young people can learn about the environment, healthy living and themselves through the Trailblazer programme. The programme provides each child with an unique record of their achievements.
If you’re already a Trailblazer you could go one step further and help your school to become an Eco-School.
Eco-Schools recognise teachers and children who make environmental good practice an every day part of school life – like buying stationery, power for computer equipment, cleaning materials and how to get to and from school.
