Consumer advice

If you've been sold a faulty product and want to know your rights, the Citizens Advice Consumer Service can help.

The Citizens Advice Consumer Service is a government funded advice service for everyone to use. They can give you help and advice about resolving an issue or a dispute with a trader or retailer. They can also provide advice before you purchase goods or services.

Consumer Direct provides clear, practical, impartial advice to help you sort out problems and disagreements you may be having with suppliers of goods and services.

Advice is free, with telephone calls being charged at a local rate (cost of calls from mobile phones and certain landlines may vary).

The service is available 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays/Public Holidays.
