Cigarette sales

It is against the law to sell cigarettes to anyone under the age of 18. Trading Standards help to enforce the law by making attempted test purchases using under-age shoppers. We also control the location of cigarette vending machines.

If you are concerned that a trader is selling to people under the legal age please contact Citizens Advice Consumer Service.
