Chairman of the County Council

The Chairman of the County Council for 2012/13 is Councillor Carol Pepper The Vice Chairman is Councillor Barrie Cooper.

The Chairman of the County Council is elected each year by county councillors. The Chairman chairs meetings of the Full Council and attends a wide range of events around the county. The Chairman can be invited to represent the County Council at important events, openings, or the launch of new community projects.
