Street lighting helps to keep our roads and pavements safe and free from crime.

There are more than 85,000 street lights and 15,000 illuminated signs in the county. Making sure they’re all working is a full time job for our maintenance team.

If you see a problem with a street light or sign please report any faulty lighting to us.

We aim to fix all dangerous faults, like an exposed live wire, within 1 working day.

For all other non-dangerous faults we will repair the fault in seven days. Some repairs may take longer if the local electricity company has to be called in.
