Getting back to work can be difficult if you have children and cannot find any good, local childcare provision.

Recognising this, the Government has set up the Neighbourhood Nurseries Initiative which has helped to bring over £4 million to Nottinghamshire, to help provide over 600 new daycare places for babies and children under 5 years of age.

Up to 15 new day nurseries will be built in Ashfield, Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood.
